LACTATION & NEWBORN FEEDING

I am a licensed International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). To earn this credential I was required to have 1,000+ hours of hands-on experience, 100+ hours of lactation specific education, and to successfully pass a 4 hour board examination. I have supported local families both in the hospital setting in the immediate postpartum days, and in their homes in the following months.

I know from personal and professional experience that there can be a steep learning curve when it comes to newborn feeding. It is a natural process, but not one that always comes naturally - in reality, it can be quite challenging and overwhelming at times. Regardless of what route your family takes, I would love to help. See Lactation Support page for more details and to get in touch.

SALTWATER DOULA TRAINING

A three-day training on how to inclusively support, educate, and advocate for all birthing people and their families from pregnancy into postpartum, with an emphasis on providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE, NURSING

I earned my BSN at The University of Southern Maine, and have been working as a Registered Nurse since 2017. I have cared for a wide variety of patients, newborn to geriatric. Needless to say, my passion for labor, birth, and postpartum is what drives me.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE, DIETETICS

Before pursuing birth work and nursing, I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about nutrition. Nourishing and fortifying foods are such an essential piece of the pregnancy and postpartum experience. The restorative power of a thoughtfully prepared meal should never be underestimated.

SAN FRANCISCO
GENERAL HOSPITAL VOLUNTEER DOULA PROGRAM

Provided 100+ hours of physical and emotional doula support to SFGH patients during labor, birth, and postpartum. Support often included comfort measures during labor, encouragement and recentering, assistance with establishing newborn feeding, and help with postpartum care.
